At GJ Floors, we are proud of the projects we realize and the impact they have on society. We recently completed a unique project in Strijen for the municipality of Hoekschewaard, aimed at providing shelter to people in need.
Choosing sustainable floor coverings
Our task for this project was to provide flooring for units that will house 4 to 6 people. For this project, we installed vinyl flooring in the semi-permanent dwellings. We chose vinyl because it's known for its hygienic, practical, and exceptionally durable properties. In this case, the vinyl also has an extra-thick top layer and reduces noise. This choice ensures that the floors can withstand heavy use while remaining easy to maintain.
Aesthetic considerations and practical benefits
For the living areas, we chose an attractive wood-look vinyl that exudes warmth and a homely feel. This contributes to creating an inviting and comfortable atmosphere for the residents. For the bathrooms, we opted for a concrete-look vinyl, which creates a modern and sleek look while also being practical and easy to clean.
