Why a good confirmation is important

A runner or carpet that isn't properly secured can be dangerous. People can trip and it creates a cluttered look. Especially at busy events, trade shows, or hospitality venues, you want everything to stay safe and tidy.

Mounting options for runners and carpet

When attaching runners or carpet, it's important to use the right materials. For temporary events or trade show floors, double-sided expo tape is ideal. It holds thin runners securely in place without damaging the underlying surface.

If you need to quickly and temporarily secure something, you can use masking tape or gaffer tape. These are perfect for short-term applications and are easy to remove. For secure, permanent attachment, or for longer runners, you can use mounting pins to keep the runner straight and prevent it from shifting.

Tips for a perfect installation

Always ensure the floor is clean and dry before you begin. Measure the runner or carpet to ensure a perfect fit and avoid any unexpected surprises. Consider combining different fasteners for added stability, especially in busy areas. For long runners, it's helpful to use multiple attachment points to prevent bumps and ensure everyone can walk safely.

Wealth Shown To Scale: KochxBos x GJ Floors

Oct 15, 2025

An entrance with meaning We were asked to contribute to KochxBos 's unique art project, "Wealth Shown To Scale," which enhanced not only the design but also the overall experience. Two striking orange carpets gave the entrance a powerful look and made it clear even before visitors entered that something special awaited them. About KochxBos & the project KochxBos is a gallery and art platform dedicated to projects that bring together art, experience, and social issues. With "Wealth Shown To Scale," they impressively visualized what wealth inequality looks like when literally magnified. The project combined aesthetics with urgency and invited visitors to reflect on one of the most important issues of our time. The power of color and material The choice of orange was deliberate. This color radiates energy and connection and immediately captured visitors' attention. The runners served not only as a practical entrance but were an integral part of the experience. They marked the transition from the outside world to the world of the exhibition and guided visitors to the heart of the artwork. Result and impact Visitors entered the exhibition via orange carpets and were immediately drawn into the project's atmosphere. The contrast and powerful color made the entrance more than just a passageway. It became the first step in an experience that was both seen and felt. Why this project is special For us, this collaboration demonstrates that a runner can be more than just a floor covering. It's a way to set expectations, create atmosphere, and reinforce a story. In the case of KochxBos, the runners contributed to a project that combines art and awareness, and that makes us proud. Complete your event Want your entrance to make the right impression? What fasteners can I use for a runner during an event?

You can choose from mounting pins, double-sided adhesive tape, carpet adhesive, or temporary tape such as masking tape and gaffer tape. Tape options are useful for temporary applications, while pins or adhesive are suitable for longer-term use.

How do I prevent a runner or carpet from sliding?

Provide multiple attachment points, especially for long runners. Combine tape with pins or glue for extra strength and to prevent bumps.

Can I also safely attach runners to smooth floors?

Yes, double-sided expo tape or special anti-slip tape keeps runners securely in place, even on slippery surfaces. This keeps visitors safe and the runner stays in place.

What should I do before installing a runner or carpet?

First, clean and dry the floor. Carefully measure the runner and plan where you want to place the mounting points. This will keep everything taut and secure, preventing damage to the floor.
