Sustainable and low-maintenance flooring solutions for the municipality of Hoeksche Waard

In Strijen, we realized the floor finish for semi-permanent emergency housing for the municipality of Hoeksche Waard. A project where sustainability, comfort, and intensive use were central.

A practical and future-proof flooring solution

For this project, we provided the flooring for residential units accommodating four to six people per home. The floors needed to withstand intensive daily use, be easy to maintain, and contribute to a comfortable living environment. Additionally, noise reduction was an important requirement, given the compact layout of the homes.

The goal was clear: a durable flooring solution that was both practical and pleasant for the residents. Within these parameters, we recommended a solution suitable for long-term use in a semi-permanent setting.

Choice for vinyl with extra strong properties

For the living areas, we chose a wood-look vinyl with a warm aesthetic. This creates a homely atmosphere without compromising on functionality. The vinyl used has an extra thick top layer and sound-reducing properties, making it suitable for intensive use.

In the sanitary areas, a concrete-look vinyl was chosen. This finish provides a sleek and modern look, while also being hygienic, moisture-resistant, and easy to clean. This combination of collections creates a consistent and practical foundation in all areas.
