For The College Hotel Amsterdam, we realized a permanent entrance solution that combines appeal, durability, and ease of use. A warm welcome that matches the class of this four-star hotel.

The challenge

The College Hotel, located in a stately historic building in Amsterdam Oud-Zuid, wanted to replace its existing red carpet with a durable solution that would remain beautiful for years. The entrance needed to be presentable, withstand intensive use, and match the hotel's luxurious ambiance.

In addition, maintenance played an important role. The flooring solution needed to be weather-resistant, easy to clean, and suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. All with the goal of providing guests with a warm and professional welcome upon arrival.

The solution: Dura outdoor runner in burgundy

Following a site visit by one of our consultants, the Dura outdoor runner was chosen in a deep burgundy color. This quality combines a powerful appearance with a strong, weather-resistant plastic base suitable for intensive use.

The warm burgundy shade perfectly matches the character of the building and gives the entrance a chic and inviting look. The Dura lies flat, is easy to maintain, and retains its color and shape, even with heavy foot traffic.

In addition to the main entrance, we also supplied indoor and outdoor mats for all other main entrances. We also installed commercial carpeting in elevators and luggage areas and provided brass stanchions with ropes for a complete and coherent overall aesthetic.
