Color, customization and structure for a large-scale festival experience.

During Intents Festival, we once again had the opportunity to contribute to the decoration of one of the biggest hardstyle festivals in the Netherlands. With custom-made Tokyo runners and carpet tiles, we provided a colorful and functional foundation for the festival grounds.

The challenge

Intents Festival is a three-day event with multiple stages, hundreds of artists, and tens of thousands of visitors. The decoration of the grounds is fully developed each year around an overarching theme. This requires flooring solutions that are not only practical but also visually aligned with the concept.

The flooring needed to withstand intensive use, be suitable for temporary placement, and be available in specific colors. Furthermore, customisation was essential: the rolls had to be supplied in adapted widths to perfectly fit the layout of tents and zones.

The solution: Tokyo runners and carpet tiles in custom colors

For this project, we supplied multiple variants from our Tokyo event carpet collection. The colours sea blue, red, lilac, and black were chosen to match the thematic decoration of the festival.

The Tokyo collection is ideally suited for large-scale events. The material is robust, easy to process, and available in a wide range of colours. For Intents Festival, we supplied custom-sized rolls in 3-meter widths, allowing for efficient and neat installation.

Additionally, white and black carpet tiles were used. These offered extra flexibility in specific zones and ensured a tidy, uniform appearance within the overall concept.
